Edinburgh Street Food
If you’re into Edinburgh street food, global flavours and casual foodie vibes, you need to check out here. This was my second visit and I’m a huuuge fan. So many food stalls, so many flavours, good vibes all around and you can order straight from your phone and everything gets delivered to your table. Super easy, smooth and chilled. Here’s what we tried: 🌮 Taco Trio from Antojito And surprisingly… the Southern Fried Pineapple Taco was my absolute fave. Soft corn tortilla, crispy pineapple, chipotle & lime crema, chimichurri, grilled peppers, onions, radish. SO good. We also had the taco of the month and chorizo con papas and they were all delicious! 🥢 Korean Fried Chicken Bao from Bundits Gochujang sauce, Asian slaw, mayo and tater tots on the side. Their baos are super flavourful and sooo soft. Proper comfort food. 🍦 Dessert from Soft Corr Cotton candy covered soft serve (customisable 👀). Unreal. Their matcha drinks and cakes are also 10/10. If you’re looking for the best street food in Edinburgh, food halls in Edinburgh city centre, or fun group dining spots, this is your sign. It’s also very child and dog friendly which is a bonus.

Bonnie & Wild
me and my boyfriend decided to visit on a monday afternoon, didn’t have any of the typical queues of the weekends! we went over to the salt and chilli restaurant! we boyfriend went for the titular salt and chilli chips dish, i chose the prawn and he chose chicken,,, we both agreed it was a good size portion for the price (prawn £13 and chicken £11) it was a nice meal but suprisingly what i enjoyed the most was the dressing they chose for the salad! i’m sure i will be back to explore more of what bonnie and wild has to offer but for a first visit it was a good experience

Sugar Daddy’s Bakery
Absolutely incredible!! The cinnamon bar was one of the best desserts I’ve ever had in my life (including things I ate before going gluten free)! Staff was so kind as well. A MUST in Edinburgh!

Makars Mash Bar
Had a really positive experience at Makars. We walked in around 7pm and were told the wait would be about 1.5 hours which shows how popular it is. We went for a pint and came back around 8:30, and Ray had a table ready for us. Very helpful and welcoming. Sarah looked after us and was excellent throughout. The Scotch and haggis starter had great flavour and the lamb shank and beef mains were outstanding, melt-in-your-mouth meat and bold, comforting. Great food, great service. Definitely book ahead they’re busy for a reason.

La Locanda
For anyone who is looking for an authentic Italian restaurant at Edinburgh, I truly recommend this place! The hospitality offered from the waitress who served me was incredible. The waitress maintained a positive and friendly attitude throughout the whole service as well as displaying knowledge of how the restaurant works and what products the restaurant has. The selection of Italian beers was great considering that a brand called Ichnusa was sold which can be rare to find. I did also treat myself to a Peroni that comes with a red label which was refreshing. The food was delicious and I could tell that everything was made fresh making the experience even better. I forgot to take the picture of the spaghetti that I ate but I did include the prawn starter dish that was tasty. Unfortunately, I did not ask for the waitress’ name but the waitress did have ginger hair and appeared to be at a young age. I wish this restaurant all the best!
